![]() A given character's story will have the same main beats every run, but bosses and encounters can vary and play out wildly differently (and the stories are wholly distinct from each other). It layers on a unique map and story for each character, that play out in a variety of ways. it also has meta progression unlike StS (though I never used it and still beat it on the highest level at the time). You can also have pets, allies in certain fights, multiple story branches, etc.ĭont get me wrong, its still a deckbuilder but it is has way more systems than StS. If you kill someones friend they will hate you and youll get a debuff (but if you find them you can insult them through negotiation and get a chance to kill them to remove it). There are also boons/buffs based on actions you choose. It's hard to explain well but its very different. Some enemies might use arguments that do more damage if you use red (aggressive) cards against them, while others shield other arguments and redirect damage to them. There's also a number of different arguments that you or your enemy can use. Although it is all still card based you can gain "notoriety" or "renown" (cant remember the names) and some cards do more damage/defend more etc. Negotiation is a completely different thing. fight people, try and talk your way out of it, deceive, etc. You can also tackle these in multiple ways i.e. For one you have multiple story based missions you can go on. /r/GamePhysics - Clips of game physics shining and glitchingĭesign based on /r/FlatBlue created by /u/creeschĭifferent./r/gaming4gamers - middle ground between purely-for-fun and more serious subreddits./r/GamingLeaksAndRumours - Leaks and Rumors.Posting unmarked spoilers will result in removal and warning, and posting spoilers with malicious intent will result in a ban.
